Not your Business!!

Why does the Government of any country feel that they should have a say who can marry whom? Why do they feel that they should have a say in what a woman can or cannot make a decision on bringing a child into this world? Why, it's not your business if Adam is with Steve or Mary is with Sarah. What people do in the privacy of their relationships is not your business. You have more important things to worry about like feeding the hungry, providing adequate care for the young men and women you sent to the other side of the world to get blown away by people that never wanted our aid to begin with. But yet you are telling hard working people they don't have the right to marry or be seen and treated as that person's legal spouse with all the rights that it entails.

Let me give you an example. How would you feel Mr. John Q. Taxpayer if you were with your significant other for 30 years, you unexpectedly get extremely ill to the point you can no longer make decisions for yourself. You have made a good sum of money over the years and your partner is not allowed to make your final wishes known because you were not allowed to marry that person and by law they cannot be acknowledged as common law or a domestic partner. So your greedy cousin Schmoe steps in as your next of kin, overrules your life partner pulls the plug and sends you to the afterlife, collects your money, sells your home, and tells your partner, "oh well you didn't deserve anything your relationship was an abomination anyway." How would you feel?

A gay person is a person, a human being with rights as any other human. Why is it that in the land of the free people have to fight for their basic rights? People of color are still fighting in this day and age. Slavery has long since been abolished but equality is still not happening for anyone. Why, because the Government is in the middle of things that shouldn't concern them.

Next example. Your daughter is raped by your brother, does she have to bring forth that life created because she doesn't have a choice. She has to look on that innocent child and condemn it for sins of its father. Your wife is raped by an intruder, your sixteen year old neice made a mistake and can't barely take care of herself much less a child. Your cousin get gang banged in college...who are you to tell her what to do with her body?

Your worries should revolve around the fact that by the time I retire after paying social security and medicare all these years...I may not have those benefits available to me. You should make it your business that our children are properly educated, that weapons of mass destruction are regualted, that the people right here in your own back yard has food to eat and a roof over there heads. There are bigger issues on hand like health care and national debt for you to be worrying about. Let people be, if Dave wants to marry Jake and adopt and care for a truck load of kids because they have the means to do so, let them that is none of your business. If Sue wants to marry Anne and teach college biology let her, who she is married to does not affect her ability to do her job. These things are none of your business. Your child does not have to come to you to tell you that he/she is heterosexual, so why do they have to come to you to say the are homosexual? Come on be realistic and logical for once in history and live up to the banner of freedom you so love to boast about and let people be free dammit, cause they sure as hell ain't right now.
